First of all, we completely rebuilt the way map overlay markers are rendered.
This was mostly done, because we absolutely hated that there were visible tile boundaries everywhere on the map. Secondary reason was that the way the markers were rendered meant that if there happened to be two distinct markers at basically the same position (which, on most of the lower zoom levels, can literally mean airports that dozens of kilometers/miles away from one another) only the latest one would get drawn.
Thirdly - the way the markers were drawn on the map didn't actually serve original purpose of the map; giving the scenery authors an idea of "what needs to be improved" ... the map was ... way too much filled with the orange/red -markers for that purpose. So ... we decided to make the blue markers a bit more pronounced. Now they stand out unlike before.
Go improve, you great scenery artists ;)
